The Sault Ste. Marie & District SPCA is contracted by the City of Sault Ste. Marie to provide animal control services. We are responsible for enforcing all City by-laws pertaining to animal control as well as the Dog Owner's Liability Act. We provide animal control services seven days a week as well as an after hours emergency service. After hours calls are limited to injured animals or animals that are posing a threat to human safety.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Effective March 17, 2020, the shelter will be closed to the public with restricted access for Animal Care & Control Services.
